  • finally?

The government had stayed away from controvertial issues but, it looks like Senate is taking a stand now on many issues. Healthcare used to be a controvertial issue, but we are definitely making more progress than ever before. Some provisions are great, like removing a benefits cap, providing for people who have pre-existing conditions, subsidizing people with low incomes and taxing people who tan and bring skin cancer upon themselves although that's weird for the government to target such personal preferences like that....

On top of that Senate is not going to support any insurer that provides abortion aid, even if it's not with federal funds. Wow. That's a pretty firm anti-choice stand that I totally disagree with. It's one thing to say you cannot use federal funds for abortions (though it's making the same declaration), but to completely refuse support to any company that is pro-choice is imo way out of line.

  • i'm torn with banker boys. 1) i have yet to meet one who was interested
in me beyond sex, and 2) not as bad as it may sound but i don't like to date
boys with too many options.. not that they are necessarily sub-par, but
just less alpha, less ostentatious, less susceptible to immediately desirable valuations (from other women).. haha. i hope that make sense.

i guess the real remedy is to better prepare myself to complement the alpha/banker :P
